Blessed


I am blessed! 

I said, I am blessed! 

God woke me up this morning with the love of my life! 

 God allowed me to see my children one more time! 

I am blessed! 

God allowed me to feel his power in my spirit, and I tell you that I am blessed! 

I am in my right state of mind, and believe you me that there are many that are not! 

I tell you that I am blessed!  

I was born to a mother who cares for me like none other, a mother that would do anything for me, a mother that would allow me to learn a lesson so that I would be better off in the longer run! 

 That my friends is blessed!

I have children that love me, I went to a job today, I slept in a bed last night, and although things are not perfect, God is pointing me where he wants me to go, leading me in the destiny that he wants me to lead, which lets me know that I am blessed!

I am blessed coming in, I am blessed going out, I am blessed in the morning, and I am blessed in the night! 

 I tell you my friends that no matter the amount of money, no matter the amount of friends, no matter the amount of stuff that I think that can sooth me, nothing can be more of a blessing than my father God! 

I will tell you again!

Christian's Birthday Cake

Well, I just finished Christian's birthday cake, and I am pooped!  It was tedious, but I am sure that it will be worth while. 






He looked so happy during the building process, and he was amazed after even though I thought that it could have been alot better!  I hope that my little man has the best day he can tomorrow!

Mother's Day/ Birthday

I have to say that I had the best Mother's Day/ Birthday's to date.  I celebrated my 10 Year Service Anniversary Luncheon on May 6th at work with several of the co-workers that I love, and my mom came!  You all know how much that meant to me!

My husband woke me up on Saturday morning once he was home from work, and informed me that I needed to get dressed because he had a day planned for me!  YIPPPEEEE!!!!  All for me!!!!!
He took my, and my daughter to first get our nails done at the Star Nails on Cooper St. &  Bardin Rd. in Arlington, Texas.  Then we headed over to what has become one of my favorite restaurants ever the India Grill in the Arlington Highlands in Arlington, Texas where they have the most amazing Indian cuisine with the best atmosphere.  Then he took me to the World Market to see if there was anything that I would like to pick up.





Then to my great surprise he allows me to take a nap after lunch, and lets me sleep until dinner without any interruptions!!!  I mean come on!  That was so wonderful!  It was like 7 hours of good sleep. GREAT!

Then he took me to dinner, and I chose Babes!  That did not pan out, but not to fret we went to Cracker Barrel on I-20 & Bowen in Arlington, Texas which was just as good a choice as the first.

Then ladies he pulled out the show stopper when he took me to look at rings, and I chose the prettiest ring for me!  Something elegant, simple, but definitely made for me!

All in all I have to say that my husband pull out all the stops, and I enjoyed every bit of it!  I want to say thank you to my Heavenly Father God first for giving such an awesome husband that deals with my ever changing moods, and I want to thank my husband for loving me!

I love my husband, and my children more than anyone can know!

God is Love!

Service Anniversary

 Today was my Service Anniversary Luncheon with A T & T Telephone Company at work.  I have ten years of service, and I have to say that it feels great to have gotten over the 10 year hump.  I had the best time, and I realized that I have several friends that I work with that are truly my family!  I love them very much, and I am very fortunate to have people like: Cynthia J., Linda P, Sherry S., Tammi S., Marilyn B.,Rodney W., Kenneth H., and many more that I call my A T & T Family!  I enjoy them on a day to day basis, and I thank God that he has given me such a great place to be!  One with his presence, and a place where I know that pray is not a foreign concept!

My babies

I was looking at old photos, and I found that I got a little sad! I am sad that my time with them as children is quickly coming to an end! I was also realizing that I have to cherish every moment that I have with them! They will always be my babies, but they will grow up whether I like it or not!!!! I just wish that I could keep them this way!

Movie Night with the Kiddos



Yesterday I got a text for a free redbox movie!  Usually I get them in the middle of the week, and I never get them because I feel like it will interfer with our schedule.  Well, this time I got the free movie (Yogi Bear), and I have to say that it was a bit refreshing to just stop to relax in the middle of the week with my kiddos.

Thank you Lord for giving me another day with my family!  My God is an awesome God, and only he can give me the joy that I get from being with my children.

Osama Bin Laden

ABC World News, May 2, 2011. 


Many are rejoicing at the death of one Mr. Osama Bin Laden, but I am here to say that I am quite the opposite!  I am sad at the events that have come to pass as well as the events that will soon be faced in the future. 

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (Romans 12:14).

We as Christians are supposed to pray for our enemies, and not rejoice in their demise!  What have we become when we dance around in a state of pleasure because of another persons' misfortune!

I do understand that Mr. Osama Bin Laden was not a nice man, but that is not an assumption that is for me neither anyone else to convey.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:17-21).

I pray for all those that thought that it was anywhere near acceptable to dance around as if to dance on the mans grave!

Folks I say again that this is a sad day!  One that would make our Father God Weep in tears at the actions of his people!  This is a day of mourning for one of Gods men!  Though he may have had faults he was still one of Gods men, and today I say God rest his soul! 

Heavenly Father I pray for all those who did not properly give honor to one of your people.  Heavenly Father I ask that you give those that are lost with the subject of Osama Bin Laden, and give them the knowledge that they need to have a better understanding.  I pray that they not judge him as they would not want to be judged.  It is written in your word that things come to pass Heavenly Father in your time, and that things will always come out to your glory!  I know that there will be glory in this situation somewhere, and I pray that it is to your glory!  In Jesus Name I Pray Amen!!!!

Grandma's Cinnamon Rolls

As a child my grandmother would make these amazing cinnamon rolls!  They were so amazing that they did not need an ounce of icing!  We would wake in the morning to an amazing aroma of cinnamon rolls, fried smothered potatoes, fried eggs, some mornings should would have fried chicken, and others she would have this thick cut bacon that she cooked to a hard crisp!  Either way it is, and was the most amazing thing about my grandma!  She knew how to bake, and she did it with love.
So I set out on an adventure to give my children the same wonderful cinnamon rolls that my grandma would make for me!



God, thank you for giving me a grandma that I can look back on, a grandma that is still with us, a grandma that taught me the importance of baking for my family, and most of all I thank God for just giving me a chance to spend the time with my grandma!  I cherish that time with all my heart!

Teacher Appreciation Week

I was advised that it was teacher apprecitation week last week so I took the time to make baskets for my kiddo's teachers. 
I hope that their teachers love the baskets that were made!  I did not have a lot of money, but I did what I could with what I had! 



Lord, Thank you for giving my children teachers that care enough to go above, and beyond for them.  Heavenly father please give them strength, and a calm spirit when dealing with the kids that they might stay in their profession for years to come!  In Jesus Name AMEN!!!

Great Weekend

So I started out my Saturday morning, and the family minus my mom went to Denny's for breakfast.  I was going to come back to home to clean, and do some projects when I got hit with an idea to go to Incredible Pizza with my sister!  That was a bust so we decided to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese!  Everybody knows how much that I love Chuck E. Cheese so of course we were on our way.  I have to say that I had a great day with the kids, Kim, Brandi A., and my sister!  What a wonderful way to spend a weekend day!

Flip Flop Project

I was looking at some expensive flip flops for Raven, but I could not bring myself to spend that much money $10.00 for one pair of flip flops!  I mean what is the deal with all the high prices on things that we all know cost pennys to make.  So I took on the project to take $10.00, and see what I could do with some flip flips!  This is what I came up with!  I hope that you like it folks!

 Here is the beginning!  I went to the Dollar Tree, and I found this style flip flop in different colors!  I also went around the dollar tree, and found items to decorate them with!

 These are flower flip flops.  Flip flops were $1.00 and flowers were $1.00!

 There are Blue Bling Butterfly flip flops!  Flip Flops $1.00, and butterflies $1.00.

 There are Raven's favorite Sweetheart Sequin Flip Flops! Flip flops $1.00 and craft kit $1.00.

 I also completed a pair of the butterfly flip flops in purple.  The finished product is what you see, and it only costed $8.66. 

WOW!  Can you believe it?  Raven got four beautiful pairs of custom flip flops, and I can not bet the price.  They would have cost me a total of  $43.30 to buy them from a store.  That is a savings of $34.64 folks!!!!  Can you believe it?  I can!

Cole's Birthday

It is one of my Best friends 30th Birthday, and she asked me to make some food for her party.  It was a rough road on the way to making the food, but I got it done!  I have to say that my mom, and myself out did ourselves on the Fruit Tray this time!

Mission to bake - Blueberry & Mixed Berry Streusel Muffins

Everybody who knows me knows that I love that my grandma taught me how to bake, and I love that she gave me the same amount of love that she had for baking as well as cooking!

I baked muffins for my job from scratch! That is right folks from scratch! No easy box mix!!! Just measured out ingredients, and a lot of love!

I think that everyone loved them! I made 4 dozen, and I did not have any to bring back home! So all in all I would say that I did a pretty darn good job!

Becca's Party

My sister-in-laws birthday is here, and the family decided to through her a birthday party!  We had a great time, and I have to say that it was an awesome way to see all of the family.  We talked about the old days over good food, good fun, and good company!  I made some of the best Red Velvet Cupcakes that I have made to date!

They were Spicy Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing!  They were a big hit, and I am happy that everyone enjoyed them!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA!

Crappy Food

I ate the most fenominal bread this morning at work that my co-worker's daughter made!  I mean this stuff could have possibly been filled with crack!  That is how good it was!  I wanted more when I was watching TV this evening in the bed, and the bread was CALLING ME!!!!  OMG!!!!  CALLING ME!!!!

My co-workers daughter told me that it was a quite simple thing to do!  You know make bread., and I thought WHY NOT! 

So ok lets go back to the lunch room today where I had a conversation about how horrible the perservatives in the food that we consume everyday!  All the fast food, all the chips, dips, soda, and just plan old junk food!  I mean we consume some crappy food!

So I told my husband maybe we should get back to the basics!  Maybe we should stop relying on wal-mart, and depend on our local producers to get our food so that we can get the freshest of the fresh!  Why not make my own breads?  Why not stop eating processed food? 

So here I go!  NEW PROJECT ladies and gentleman!  I am going to research going I guess kind of green if that is what you call it!  My husband thinks that I am crazy, and that I can not stick to anything that I do!  Well, I will show you all that I can change!!!!!

LAST CLASS! Cake Class #4- Self Completion of entire cake + Roses

OK, this class did not start out well at all!  Last night I made my cake, and attempted to ice it when my four year old daughter kept running to me to gain comfort!  At first she was trying to get away from her father because he was attempting to comb out her hair! (She did not want me to do her hair, but I ended up completing the hair anyway...... So HA HA!!) Then she was bumping into me because it started thundering and lightening!  She was terrified!


The electric has gone out for a bit, and I am to the point where I am about to scream!!!  Like LITERALLY!!

So I finally get my cake iced, and it looks horrible.  Must I go on?????????
Then I go ahead, and make try to make the icing that I needed for my class never mind the fact that it is like 12 a.m. at this point!  No picture needed for this one!

I get to bed around 1:30 a.m., and then wouldn't you know that I did not get a lick of sleep!!!!!!  WTH!!!!
So my alarm sounds off at 5:30 a.m., and I am wide awake so I get up to get my day started! 
I get through the rest of the day pretty good for a Monday, I mean go figure everything else before had gone wrong!

I get to my cake class, and wow some of the other women's cakes looked worse than mine!!!!!!!!!  WTH!!!!!  SMH!!!!!!!

So all in all I did an OK job on my first fully completed cake ( HEY GO FIGURE ALL THE HELL I WENT THROUGH!)  So here is the finished product of the cake as well as Raven's hair!  Wow what a job it is to be a mom!

Cake Class #3 Cupcake Design

Cake class #3 was a doozy, but I made it through to see another day!  Today's class was all about filling, and decorating cupcakes. It is going to take some practice on the flowers because the Lord knows I tried!  LOL!!!
Mental Note: Try different Large tips other than the one that we had to use in class to see what you like the most!

This was another class that I got to spend with my mom!  It was nice to spend some alone time with her without the distractions of everyone else!  I know that it sounds selfish, but I like just spending time with her alone all to MYSELF!!!! 
My mom will be leaving me soon, and it is nice to know that I get my time to spend with her as well as my time to make new memories before she heads back home to Tulsa! 

Thank you God for giving me this time with my mom!  I will always Cherish the time I get with her!
