LAST CLASS! Cake Class #4- Self Completion of entire cake + Roses

OK, this class did not start out well at all!  Last night I made my cake, and attempted to ice it when my four year old daughter kept running to me to gain comfort!  At first she was trying to get away from her father because he was attempting to comb out her hair! (She did not want me to do her hair, but I ended up completing the hair anyway...... So HA HA!!) Then she was bumping into me because it started thundering and lightening!  She was terrified!

The electric has gone out for a bit, and I am to the point where I am about to scream!!!  Like LITERALLY!!

So I finally get my cake iced, and it looks horrible.  Must I go on?????????

Then I go ahead, and make try to make the icing that I needed for my class never mind the fact that it is like 12 a.m. at this point!  No picture needed for this one!

I get to bed around 1:30 a.m., and then wouldn't you know that I did not get a lick of sleep!!!!!!  WTH!!!!

So my alarm sounds off at 5:30 a.m., and I am wide awake so I get up to get my day started! 

I get through the rest of the day pretty good for a Monday, I mean go figure everything else before had gone wrong!

I get to my cake class, and wow some of the other women's cakes looked worse than mine!!!!!!!!!  WTH!!!!!  SMH!!!!!!!

So all in all I did an OK job on my first fully completed cake ( HEY GO FIGURE ALL THE HELL I WENT THROUGH!)  So here is the finished product of the cake as well as Raven's hair!  Wow what a job it is to be a mom!

Cake Class #3 Cupcake Design

Cake class #3 was a doozy, but I made it through to see another day!  Today's class was all about filling, and decorating cupcakes. It is going to take some practice on the flowers because the Lord knows I tried!  LOL!!!

Mental Note: Try different Large tips other than the one that we had to use in class to see what you like the most!

This was another class that I got to spend with my mom!  It was nice to spend some alone time with her without the distractions of everyone else!  I know that it sounds selfish, but I like just spending time with her alone all to MYSELF!!!! 

My mom will be leaving me soon, and it is nice to know that I get my time to spend with her as well as my time to make new memories before she heads back home to Tulsa! 

Thank you God for giving me this time with my mom!  I will always Cherish the time I get with her!

Cake Class #2

Ok, So I had my second cake class, and what the heck was I thinking!  I was a bit of a challenge, but I got through it learning many valuable lessons!
Lesson #1. Practice makes perfect
Lesson #2. If I do not learn anything in this class at least I will be able to keep the memories of me, and my mom taking this class together!
Lesson#3. Be overly prepared for your course having as many of your piping bags ready as possible, and O did I say Practice Practice Practice!  Not just in class, but at home during the week!
Lesson#4. Make sure that you get to class 30 mins early to set-up.
Lesson#5. This is not a race, and you will not get things right on the first class!  This is a fun thing for me as well as my mother for goodness sakes alive!  Quit being so anal!  LOL
Lesson#6. Remember not to eat so much icing!  Your tummy will not hold up!  Trust me!

All in all it was a great class to spend time with my awesome mom, you know some bonding time, and a great beginning to what could be a great cakes in the future!

My nephew's Birthday Party

I went to my nephew's birthday party at Pump It Up, and it was the best experience that I have had there all because there was not that many children!  That may be a little mean, but I had a blast!

My sister got my nephew the most cake that I could have even imagined!  It was a 3D Thomas the Tank Engine Train!

I want to say Happy 4th Birthday to my nephew JuJu, I hope that he had as much fun as I did!

I had to make a couple of party tray's for my nephew's birthday party tomorrow!  So here you go!  I did not have alot of time, and I had to crank them put fast!

Mental Note: "My formula for success is rise early, work late, and strike oil."  Whoever thinks that this quote is true is a joke!  I rise early, work late, my skin is oily, and I am so tired that I can't think straight!  No sleep +  party trays = a hot mess!

Payday Friday's are not supposed to be HARD DAY'S!

Today, I was trying to be as optimistic as possible, but I quickly learned that I would be tested beyond what I felt I could stand!  My day started off with my children refusing to cooperate with me, and dragging their little feet because they did not want to go to school.  Then we get to the McDonald's for their breakfast, and they can not make up their dadgum minds about what they want!  I mean give me a freaking break!  Must everything be a freaking challenge today!
I make it through horrible traffic, and get to work where I already know that I have a long drawn out day.  I am fast to find out that my day is going to change when I get several calls to start my work day!  UGH!!!!  Give me a freaking break!
I then find out that one of the managers that I deal with gave me wrong information, and I have to figure out a new way to complete a report that I have been compiling for a year!  I wanted to punch that person in the mouth, and them piss on them at the moment that I figured out that they have given me tainted information!  What the Hell is the world coming too?
Mental note:  "If you love your job, you haven't worked a day in your life!" I must be crazy to love my job, but I do!  GO FREAKING FIGURE!

My Mom

Today, I was sitting in my office thinking about my mom, and my dad!  While I was sitting there I thought about how much my mother was such a Strong, Vibrant, Loving romodel that I have had in my life.  Then I thought that my father was never really around, and that my mother was so level headed, independant, and she gave us the best suburban lifestyle that she could so that we would be well rounded children.  My father taught me what not to do in my life, and quite frankly though I love him dearly I have issues with him that I need to let go of in my heart! 
I just want to say, "Thank you to my mother for being the type of mother that I can only dream to be, and Thank you for continuing to be my Secondary rock right after God/Jesus!"  My mother means so much to me, and I can not say enough how God blessed me with a Beautiful, Caring, Wonderful Smelling mother! 

Thank you God!  You placed me with a gift that will stay with me in my mind for the rest of my life!

Baking Class

Ok, I know that this is small, but I just started a cake decorating course, and this is my first project where I had to pipe with a star tip.  I enjoyed going to this class, and I know that I am crazy for adding on more to my already tight schedule, but it seemed to be a little bit of a release for me.  It allowed me to use another party of my brain in an essence, and I think that this might be a good thing!  We will have to just wait, and see how I progress as well as if it drives me crazy or not!  Crossing my fingers!
